LCC, in Bismarck, ND, is hiring field technicians to work out of our Bismarck
office on projects underway (April through October) in North Dakota and
Montana. Single room field accommodat
ions are paid directly by the company and
$45 per day per diem is provided while in the field on projects that require
overnight stays away from Bismarck. You are responsible for your own housing
when not in the field. Field sessions tend to be 10 days on 5 off, but
vary and change often. Flexibility and adaptability are key.
Field efforts are often extended, overtime will be
paid.
Applicants must hold a B.S./B.A. in
anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field, and have field school or
equivalent experience. Knowledge and experience with archaeological
survey techniques and methodology is required, with preference given to those
with CRM experience in the Great Plains. Projects may include all phases of
work including archival research, survey, testing, excavation, and
documentation. Candidates MUST have the temperament and stamina to
consistently conduct fast-paced fieldwork, sometimes independently, in rugged
terrain and/or harsh weather conditions, sometimes for 10 + hours per day,
carrying gear. Experience with hand held GPS units is desirable; it will
be a daily assignment. GIS skills are a plus. Juniper requires that all field
technicians arrive with basic field equipment including appropriate hiking
boots and seasonal gear. There is high potential for ongoing employment for
exceptional individuals following the completion of fieldwork in the
fall. We are looking for people to grow with our company. Permanent positions with Juniper offer a competitive
benefits package including a superior health care package, a 401(k) matching
program, life/ltd/std/, paid time off, etc.
