Subject: Position openings

Dr. Gloria Gozdzik is planning to hire 10 to 15 crew members to=20
excavate a cemetery.=20
The project area is located between Charleston and Huntington, in=20
western West Virginia.
This site has two components. The historic cemetery component is=20
surrounded by a prehistoric component. Both components will be excavated.
One crew of=20
four archaeologists has been working on the cemetery. They have removed
about one half of=20
the burials. The new crew would work on both components.
Dr. Gozdzik is hoping to begin work with the new crew as soon as an=20
augmented permit has been approved by the state. The expected start date
for the project is January 5th 2000. The
fieldwork is projected to last for two and one half months. The crew will
work 5 days on and 2 days off.=20
Housing will be provided at the Ramada Ltd. throughout the duration. There
are two double beds in each hotel room.=20
In addition, Horizon is paying $25 per diem for the duration of the fieldwo=
rk.
Two types of positions are being filled as follows:

Archaeologist 1. Field technicians. Bachelor=92s=20
degree required. Paying $10.50 per hour.

Archaeologist 2. Supervisors and crew chiefs.=20
Master=92s degree preferred. Must meet the standards of the Secretary of th=
e=20
Interior Guidelines. Paying $12.50 to $15.00 per hour depending on
education and=20
experience.
