CREW MEMBERS, CREW CHIEFS, & FIELD SUPERVISORS
Tucson office anticipates openings for temporary, hourly wage
archaeologists in the Tucson Basin and across southern Arizona on
upcoming projects through the end of this year.
Crew Members will participate in pedestrian surveys, site recording,
excavation, and laboratory analysis as needed. Crew Members should have
completed several archaeology courses and/or have field experience in
archaeological survey and excavation.
Under Supervision of Project Managers, Crew Chiefs and Field Supervisors
will be responsible for field crews and for timely and comprehensive
completion of survey projects, excavation, laboratory analysis,
interpretive and technical report preparation, where needed. Position
may also require direction and leadership of Crew Members. A Bachelors
Degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field is preferred, as
well as a combination of field school and field experience in survey and
excavation.
All positions require good physical health. Wage will be commensurate
with education and experience. Positions are temporary, averaging 40
hours a week. Overtime and per diem may be paid in addition to an hourly
