Position: Senior Archaeologist/Assistant Director
Location: Salt Lake City or Springville, Utah
JBR Environmental Consultants is announcing an immediate opening for a Senior Archaeologist or Assistant Cultural Resource Director to be situated in one of two offices in the Salt Lake City area, Utah. Position requirements include a minimum of a MA or MS degree in anthropology, and at least five full years of experience and working knowledge of the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau regions, (in Utah, Nevada, possibly other adjoining states). Experience and duties will include management of field and office operations, client maintenance, proposals and budgets, technical writing, meeting projects schedules and budgets, and marketing.
The individual should be permitted in the identified region(s) to supervise field inventories, be capable of conducting and implementing research and data recovery plans, and complete technical reports for projects. Also, the applicant should have working knowledge of current cultural resource management laws and regulations, including those affecting Native American concerns. The individual needs to manage and supervise entire projects related to the above criteria.
