Skelly @ Loy Inc. is seeking experienced archaeological field technicians
for temporary positions on a project-to-project basis in Pennsylvania and
West Virginia. Local (southwestern Pennsylvania) and northeastern regional
applicants preferred. Applicants must be willing and able to travel to
out-of-town jobs or to do local work, as necessary. Out-of-town jobs are
scheduled for ten day periods with four days off. Local jobs are assigned
as required. Motel and current per diem of $28.00 provided for out-of-town
jobs only. Pay rate based on experience. Successful applicants will be
responsible for performing a range of tasks, including surface
reconnaissance, shovel testing, 1×1 meter unit excavation, feature
excavation and documentation, mapping, and record keeping. Flexibility and
the ability to work well with other crew members and supervisors is a must.
Applicants with at least a B.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology and substantial
excavation experience on prehistoric or historic sites will receive
preference.

Field Directors or Crew Chiefs.
