Minority scholarship available to attend Iowa field school

Not a job perse, but pass the word if you know someone eligible. Iowa
runs a top notch field school.

The Summer 2000 University of Iowa American Indian and Native Studies
Program/Department of Anthropology field school has one remaining
opening:
pass the word!

We are pleased to make available to a qualified minority applicant a
modest
scholarship–these funds are courtesy of a "Mariko Mizuhara Award for
Developing Cross-Cultural Understanding" that we received just this
week–if it goes unused this year we will reserve it for 2001. We were
also
successful in securing grant funds for state-of-the-art desk and laptop
computers (including GIS, mapping, and other software), scanner, digital

camera, and total station with data logger for our students' use during
the
field school.
