TRC has an immediate opening for a Project Archeologist (PA) to
direct
multiple excavation and survey projects in Texas, Oklahoma, New
Mexico, and Louisiana. Qualified candidates must have a graduate
degree in Anthropology or a related field with a specialization in
Archeology and must have completed, at the PA level, at least one
data
recovery project involving primarily prehistoric archeological
investigations. Evidence of such experience shall be publication of
a
final report consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's
Standards
and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Candidates
must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally
and in writing and preference will be given to those with
demonstrated
publication records. Candidates must have a working knowledge of
standard office productivity software. Preference in hiring will be
given to candidates who can demonstrate expertise in one or more
analytical specialties, such as lithics, ceramics, faunal,
malacology,
etc.
TRC is a nationwide environmental consulting company offering
cultural resource management services from offices in
Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Chapel Hill, El Paso, Denver,
Irvine, Hartford, Laramie, and Nashville. This position is based in
Austin, Texas and candidates must be willing to travel for extended
periods to remote work sites. Salary range is $35k to $40k annually,
depending on experience. TRC offers a competitive package of fringe
