L&L is a WBE certified consulting firm based in Redlands, California. The firm is committed to providing environmental resource and planning services, primarily in the Inland Empire of California, but also throughout the southwestern United States. These services include: biological, archaeological, paleontological, and historical resource assessments, management, and preservation. L&L was incorporated in 1993 and has conducted and documented biological and cultural resource investigations and mitigation/monitoring projects and processed state, federal, and local permits in all areas of environmental services. Our client base includes various developers of commercial, industrial, and private construction concerns, as well as state, federal, and California city and county agencies.
Position Description:
L&L is currently accepting resumes for the position of Archaeological Field Technician. The successful candidate(s) will have attained field experience in California and/or the Great Basin to support our on-going cultural resources projects. All work is anticipated to be completed in southern California and will be based out of our office in Redlands. Work is anticipated to start immediately.
Responsibilities:
As an Archaeological Field Technician at L&L, the selected individual(s) can expect to participate in the following tasks:
· Perform Phase I surveys;
· Participate in Phase II testing programs;
· Perform construction monitoring;
· Complete monitoring logs and other internal paperwork;
· Assist in the preparation of Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) 523 Forms;
· Contribute to technical reports; and/or
· Perform other work on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:
Qualified Archaeological Field Technicians will have minimally attained:
· An undergraduate degree in Anthropology or a closely related field (B.A. or B.S.);
· Completed an accredited field school; and
· At least one (1) year of field experience in southern California.

The ideal candidate(s) will have the ability to work flexible hours and will have reliable transportation to and from project sites in southern California and/or the L&L office located in Redlands.
