Established in 1998, Landsong Heritage Consulting Ltd. conducts archaeology and traditional land use assessments throughout British Columbia and Alberta, with most work concentrated in northeastern, interior
and central British Columbia.
Landsong is based out of Moberly Lake, BC, located ~26 km north of the town of Chetwynd and ~120 km southwest of the city of Fort St. John, BC.
Archaeologist / Project Manager
This position entails managing archaeology and traditional land use projects. Responsibilities include: conducting and supervising fieldwork, overseeing the Landsong Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Program during fieldwork, project
reporting for submission to clients and regulators and winter laboratory test analysis. Applicants should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as demonstrate attention to detail and project timeframes, and report writing capabilities.
Experience in preparing technical reports is an asset. Archaeologists will be required to work closely with Owner and Operations Manager and must be able to take direction from senior staff. Qualified applicants must have completed a university degree in
archaeology or anthropology (archaeology major) and an archaeology field school program at an accredited university, college, or equivalent field experience. An additional university degree in Geology, Ecology or Biology is an asset.
Experience with consulting archaeology and work with aboriginal communities in northeastern, central and/or interior BC is required. All applicants must have experience driving 4×4 trucks, possess a valid driver’s license (i.e. Class 5 BC
Driver’s License or equivalent) and provide a Driver’s Abstract. Applicants must be in excellent physical health as fieldwork is often strenuous. Additional qualifications for this position include the following safety certifications:

This position is full-time/permanent and includes a comprehensive health benefits and group RSP investments package. Pay will reflect the applicant’s experience and education with wages starting at $56,000 per year. All positions are based
out of our office in Moberly Lake, BC and all applicants must be willing to relocate.
