Chicora Foundation, Inc., a non-profit research organization in Columbia, SC is looking for four field technicians for a 14-mile transect survey in the Aiken County, SC vicinity.
It is imperative that candidate be
able to work 8 hour days in a variety of conditions. Current weather is very hot and humid. Stooping, bending, carrying heavy equipment, shoveling, and lifting are essential functions of this position.
Applicants must be energetic and eager, a cooperative team player, enthusiastic and focused, quality oriented, and passionate about archaeology. BA degree in archaeology or closely related field is preferred. Previous field experience may be useful.
The project is scheduled to begin July 6, 2015. Work will consist of one week of work and is not anticipated to extend longer. The work schedule will consist of five (5) day work sessions, eight (8) to ten (10) hour days. Per diem will be $47 per day for work days with single occupancy lodging provided. Pay will be $17/hr.
