SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Cultural Resources Assistant Project Manager for our Pasadena, California office. Work will occur throughout

Job Responsibilities:

An Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for successfully managing small projects and assisting PMs in the management of large projects. An
APM is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the successful execution of a project, including staffing, fieldwork, research, report writing, and review.

Job Qualifications:

·       
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, history, or a closely related field required; Master’s degree preferred

·       
At least three (3) years of experience in cultural resources management (CRM) on all aspects of projects, including a variety of project types and sizes, regions, and agencies

·       
At least one (1) year of experience in California CRM in a supervisory capacit

·       
Excellent technical writing skills, including at least one year of experience preparing technical reports and California Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) 523 Series forms in a CRM context; experience
as primary report author preferred

·       
Extensive experience with California archaeology, architectural history, or history; candidates who meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards in archaeology, history,
or architectural history preferre

·       
Experience with CEQA, NHPA Section 106, and NEPA

·       
Possess advanced skills and knowledge in one or more specialty area; particularly in historical archaeology or GIS

·       
Able to work independently and collaborate with a variety of colleagues, clients, and agency representatives
