SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their team of qualified
archaeology field technicians and looking for dynamic individuals who are
following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work.

Our Denver office offers a unique work environment and specializes in
cultural and natural resources services.

Your role will be to assist on a variety of archaeology field projects in
Colorado, Wyoming, and surrounding states through the coming field season.
Many projects require overtime, travel, and lengthy stays in remote areas
including camping.

Conduct archaeological fieldwork including monitoring, survey, testing, and
data recovery excavations. Assist with data collection and mapping
responsibilities in the field, including GPS and tablet technology use.

*Requirements: *

– A Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related
field required
– Experience in archaeology fieldwork or field school, with preference
given for experience in the archaeology of the northern and central Great
Plains, and Rocky Mountains regions
– Experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including
archaeological survey, testing, excavation, methodology and monitoring
required
– Ability to travel to a location for extended periods, walk and conduct
fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain,
often at high altitudes, and ability to carry equipment and supplies
weighing up to 40 pounds is required
