[ShovelBums.Org] Lab Director/ Archaeologist, Full-time, permanent, Atlanta, Natural Resource Group

·       
Supervising archaeological crews in the field;

·       
Supervising archaeological laboratory staff and overseeing processing of artifacts, including cleaning, identification, cataloging, and preparation for curation;

·       
Conducting analysis and report preparation;

·       
Compliance with corporate HSE; and

·       
Performing other duties as assigned or required.

·       
B.A. in Anthropology or related field;

·       
1 year of experience in archaeological field work;

·       
1 year working in cultural resource management in the United States;

·       
1 year of experience in archaeological laboratory analysis;

·       
Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time;

·       
Ability to work weekends and over 40 hours per week when needed;

·       
Ability to travel frequently and on short notice;

·       
Ability to follow instructions and work independently;

·       
Working knowledge of archaeological survey protocols;

·       
Experience conducting artifact analysis;

·       
Drug and alcohol testing may be required;

·       
GIS, graphics, and/or database experience preferred; and

·       
Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis for Archaeologists.

M.A in Anthropology or related field
