Our Pasadena office offers a unique work environment and our California and Pacific Islands cultural resources program, one of the largest in the region, specializes in complex and challenging projects. Our diverse range of clients includes prominent electric transmission utilities, renewable energy generation proponents, land development firms, and federal, state, and local government agencies.
Your role will be to take on the responsibility for successful project execution, leading a teams of resource specialists in the application of sound science and creative solutions to achieve client objectives.

The Cultural Resources Project Manager is involved in business development and marketing which includes developing successul client and agency relationships.

In the Cultural Resources Project Manager role you will manage all aspects of a project which includes fieldwork, research, and report writing, with responsibility for successful on-time and on-budget completion of projects by providing supervision and direction to personnel in the field and in the office. Conduct and oversee fieldwork, including inventory, data recovery, and monitoring. Conduct and oversee laboratory analysis and office-based research. Prepare proposals and technical documents.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE FOR SUCCESS:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Cultural Resource Management required; preferred experience includes working on a variety of project types and sizes, on all project aspects (from pre-field tasks through final report preparation), in multiple regions, and with a variety of regulatory agencies.

Successful candidate will have demonstrated Client Management experience and business development results.

Experience in California Cultural Resource Management required; experience in the Pacific Islands is also desirable.

Eligibility for listing on our Bureau of Land Management permit in California required; ability to meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards preferred.

Advanced skills and knowledge in one or more specialty areas within archaeology (prehistoric or historic) preferred.

Primary report authorship in a Cultural Resources Management context and experience providing quality control review of field documents, site forms and reports required.

Experience leading large field crews preferred.
