Master’s degree in Archaeology is required; a Ph.D. is preferred
·
At minimum of five (5) years of supervisory and fieldwork experience required
·
Demonstrated completion, at a PI level, of a minimum of one (1) testing or data recovery excavation project preferred
·
Past peer review publication record and conference presentation experience preferred
·
Emphasis in North American Archaeology and a current technical specialization (e.g., lithic analysis, GIS, architectural history, etc.)
·
Must be able to obtain a Texas Antiquities Permit; ability to be listed on various federal and state cultural resource permits in other states desired
·
Listed as a Registered Professional Archaeologist (or qualified for RPA status) preferred
·
Experience involving PI-level review of projects with historic resources a plus
·
Experience with NEPA and Section 106 preferred
·
Experience with content edits of reports and a solid background of scheduling and budgeting of projects related to cultural resources
·
Ability to coordinate personnel and other resources within budgetary constraints
·
Exceptional technical writing skills and a record of completing and editing technical reports in a timely fashion
·
Ability to work independently as well as oversee small or large projects by working closely with Field Managers and Project Managers
·
Adept at working with a variety of colleagues, clients, and agency representatives
·
A commitment to fiscal and scheduling responsibilities for projects of all sizes and scopes
