y through all of June and July (May 31-July 31), perhaps into early August. A bachelor's degree in Anthropology and demonstrated Phase I experience is required. Candidates must exhibit a strong work ethic and be physically fit, willing and able to perform demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (i.e., extreme heat or cold). The ability to travel and conduct fieldwork for long hours over rugged terrain and to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required. Preferred candidates will exhibit experience excavating, mapping and recording up to 40 shovel tests per day. And be able to work well, with enthusiasm, and as a productive team member under the supervision of a crew chief and project archaeologist. Demonstrated past field experience working with Trimble XT GPS mapping units is preferred. The pay rate for these positions will be based on individual qualifications and experience.
