Gates of Gath, home of Goliath, discovered.

A big honkin’ gate recently excavated in Israel by Aren Maeir, of Bar-Ilan University in Israelmay very likely marks the entrance to Gath. The home of Goliath of David vs Goliath fame described in the bible. At it’s time occupation it might have been the largest city in the region.
